Supporting Students with Special Needs

Santa Rosa Day School supports its students with special needs and learning disabilities. Our special education program provides students with the learning strategies that allow them to reach their full potential.

Early Identification and Classroom Accomodations

We strive to identify learning challenges as early as possible to ensure students receive the proper aid and accommodations in the classroom. Our specialists help students to advance at the same speed as their classmates and progress through the school year without delays.

Collaboration with Parents and Guardians

Students succeed when parents/guardians actively participate in the learning process. Special education teachers collaborate with them to design Individualized Education Plans.

Monitoring Progress and Ensuring Success

That partnership can foster new ideas, perspectives and helpful suggestions to create an IEP that provides the best learning strategy to match the student’s unique needs. All IEP results are documented and carefully monitored for their successes, needs for improvement and overall efficacy.

A Comprehensive Approach to Special Education

Santa Rosa Day School parents/guardians, teachers and specialists manage the continued success and fulfill the mental, physical, social and emotional needs of our students in the special education program. SPED teachers use the latest and most effective teaching strategies to enhance students' classroom learning experience and guide them toward academic achievement.
